Each year, we field questions regarding our Holiday Carriage Rides. To help simplify the process and to have a spot online where the most common questions and their answers live, we've created this FAQ.
1) Are Carriage rides ticketed?
This year, we have one carriage available and will be pre-selling tickets to ride.
2) How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets will be released for purchase on the Monday before rides are scheduled to take place. For example, for rides happening on Friday, December 6th, tickets will go on sale Monday, December 2nd. This allows us to offer them to the most people, and to avoid a large number of refunds in the event of inclement weather. Sign up for our Uptown Insider newsletter to be notified when tickets go on sale!
3) How long is the ride & Where does it go?
Each ride lasts approximately 10 minutes. Riders will embark from 110 South Washington Street (located adjacent to the Earl Scruggs Center gift shop on the Court Square). The carriage travels south down Washington Street, turns right onto Graham Street, turns right onto Lafayette Street, turns right onto Marion Street, and makes the final right turn onto Washington Street, ending at the loading zone.
